With a backdrop of 34 glowing reviews and an average rating of 4.7 stars, I'm proud to be one of the top-rated tutors here in Sturgeon Bay, helping to shape the future of eager young programmers.
Experience
After completing my degree in Computer Science, I sought a path where I could combine my technical skills with my fervor for teaching. I've spent 8 years perfecting the art of instructing kids in the realms of Scratch and Roblox, focusing on students aged 7 to 14. Whether your child is a complete beginner or an aspiring game developer, I have tailored my programs to meet them at their level and challenge them to climb higher.
I have managed to lead numerous workshops, both in-person and virtually, supervised coding camps during summer breaks, and actively participated in after-school programs that promote STEM learning in fun and innovative ways.
Teaching Approach
My teaching approach can be summed up in one word: gamification. I believe learning should be hands-on, exploratory, and, above all, fun. Each session is designed to engage your child's natural curiosity and passion for play, turning it into a productive learning experience. We'll use Scratch to lay the foundational bricks of coding logic and then leap into the more intricate world of Roblox, where they'll create their own games and environments - learning vital problem-solving and creative thinking skills along the way.
